Clifton (Cincinnati, Ohio)
The Gibson House sits near downtown Clifton on eight exquisite acres of tended land. Built in 1856 by Thomas Baldwin, the 19th Century Revival Mansion was home to many private families. In 1911, Louis J. Hauck bought the property. The estate would remain in the Hauck-Gibson family for over 50 years. In 1969, Cornelius Hauck, sold the property to the Parks. He was a member of the Park Board and creator of what is now the Hauck Botanical Garden. Thanks to Cornelius Hauck and his avid interest in horticulture, beautiful foliage and gardens still surround the Gibson House estate. With over 900 types of trees, shrubs, and evergreens, the land is a sight to behold.
The home underwent a major renovation in 2012. Beautiful hardwood floors and freshly painted walls show off the home’s elegant architecture. Each room is individually styled, featuring impeccable detailing. With a covered front porch, spacious interior rooms, and manicured ground, the Gibson House is the perfect venue.
Inside of the home, you can take advantage of the adorned Parlor Rooms, Solarium, and modern kitchen. There is also a Great Room in which guests can congregate and mingle. If you need additional space to prepare for your event, inquire about the upstairs floor as they can be made available before the event. Rental of the home also includes access to the surroundings property and gardens. For extra outside space, you can rent a tent and place it on the front lawn. The use of all of these spaces allows for a guest list of up to 150, seated or cocktail. Finally, you will be assigned an on-site event planner to ensure that your day runs smoothly.
